NMR için Çözücüler

Proton NMR spektrofotometresinde örnek hazırlama sırasında kullanılan çözücünün yapısında bulunan proton (H), alınan spektrumda hatalara neden olacağından döterolanmış cözücüler ile çalışılması zorunludur. Uygulamaların doğru sonuç vermesi ve yöntemin hassasiyeti kullanılan bu döteryumlu bileşikler ile doğrudan ilişkilidir.

Merck firması tarafından üretilen döterolanmış ürünler yüksek saflıkta, güvenilir döterolanma derecesine sahip, içerdiği su miktarı son derece düşük ve yüksek izotop zenginliğine sahiptir. Bu kimyasalların içerdikleri su miktarı NMR ve Karl Fischer yöntemi ile tespit edilmiştir.

Bu yöntemde spektral absorpsiyon çizgilerinin kayma değerleri kullanılan çözücüye bağlıdır.

Bilinmeyen örneklerin analizi refesans maddeler ile karşılaştırılırken hem bilinmeyen örneğin hem de referans maddesinin aynı çözücü içerisinde hazırlanmış olmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Farklı çözücüler kullanıldığında aynı maddenin pikleri farklılık göstermektedir. Etanol buna verilebilecek en güzel örnektir.
